I want to get back into doing fundraisers for shelters as a memorial for my pets that pass away. I had started doing them on gofundme bc I figured that way there’d be no reason for ppl to worry I wasn’t doing what I should with their money.

HOWEVER I think I want to go back to doing how we did them before, where people send the money to me through kofi and then I send the money to the shelter myself. That way I can include a personalized message about the pet to the shelter.

With gofundme there was a section that explained that if the organization you were raising money for wasn’t set up with gofundme they’d do their best to get the money to them. However there’s a chance they wouldn’t be able to and in that case they’d just send the money to another similar organization. Obviously that’s still great but I’d like to make sure the money gets to the right place.
